Yes, you do.~ I served a very brief tour on Oahu.

I don't know. Perhaps a search of YouTube or Google might turn up more info on this? It looks as though the basics are shown though. A stabilizing frame with a thin ribbon of metal to serve as the wind vibration catcher. Then the copper coils set at angles that the metal ribbon will touch at any rate of vibration. (copper is important here)~ After that, I guess all you would have to know is the basics of how the connections for a regular wind turbine hook up to store the energy generated.

Interesting, does he show how to make one? I live in a VERY windy area.
